Worked example: a sign order

Three lines: 100 signs at $12, two design hours at $75, and $40 delivery, for a subtotal of $1,390. A 10% loyalty discount takes it to $1,251, then 8.25% tax brings the total to $1,354. With a job cost of $800, the margin check shows about $451 profit at a 36% margin, comfortably above water even after the discount.
