CWT/CWX ER64.6B Compression Router Bit with Stop Ring

The CWT/CWX ER64.6B compression router bit with stop ring is engineered for high-quality CNC routing of laminated panels, composite boards, plastics, and wood substrates commonly used in signage production, display fabrication, cabinetry, and industrial machining. Constructed from super-grade solid carbide and enhanced with a premium rainbow coating for lubricity and tool life enhancement, this tool provides excellent wear resistance, reduced friction, and extended tool life in demanding routing environments.

The compression cutting geometry combines both upcut and downcut flutes, compressing the material toward the center of the cut during machining. This action helps prevent chipping on the top surface while eliminating tear-out on the bottom, allowing the tool to produce clean, chip-free edges on both sides of laminated or finished materials.

With a 4 mm cutting diameter and 14 mm cutting edge length (CEL), the ER64.6B provides stable routing performance for detailed profiling, slotting, and through-cut operations in rigid panels and wood substrates.

For the compression feature to function properly, a minimum material thickness of 3 mm is required, ensuring both flute directions engage the material simultaneously.

This model also includes a precision stop ring (collar) designed for accurate tool positioning when used with Zünd ARC automated routing systems and the CUTWORX Tool Changer, enabling consistent tool placement and reliable automated tool changes during production workflows.
