CWT/CWX ER66.2C Single O-Flute Upcut Router Bit

The CWT/CWX ER66.2C router bit is engineered for high-speed CNC routing of plastics, foam boards, and wood substrates commonly used in signage production, display fabrication, packaging prototyping, and industrial machining environments. Manufactured from high-quality solid carbide, this tool delivers durability, reliable cutting performance, and consistent edge quality across a wide range of materials.

The single O-flute right-hand spiral (upcut) geometry efficiently evacuates chips upward from the cutting zone, helping reduce heat buildup and preventing material re-melting when machining plastics and foam materials. This design supports smooth cutting action, improved chip clearance, and stable machining performance.

With a 6 mm cutting diameter and a 22 mm cutting edge length (CEL), the ER66.2C provides strong cutting stability for profiling, slotting, and through-cut routing operations, particularly when machining thicker materials or deeper profiles.

While the tool can machine certain non-ferrous materials, it is not recommended for regular machining of ACM or metals. For routing aluminum or aluminum composite materials, Rainbow/DLC coated tooling is recommended, which provides improved lubrication, reduced friction, and longer tool life when cutting metal substrates.

Note: 6 mm shank router bits are designed for CUTWORX Apex Plus and Apex M Series flatbed cutters equipped with the 1.8 kW liquid cooled router spindle.
