CWT/CWX ER66.7B Straight Flute Router Bit

The CWT/CWX ER66.7B straight flute router bit is engineered specifically for machining extruded polystyrene and foam-based display boards commonly used in signage, graphics production, and retail display fabrication. Manufactured from super-grade solid carbide, this 2-flute straight flute bit delivers reliable performance and consistent edge quality when routing lightweight rigid materials.

Unlike spiral router bits, straight flute tools have cutting edges that run parallel to the axis of the tool, meaning the cutting edge engages the material along the entire flute length simultaneously. Because there is no spiral geometry, the tool produces a neutral cutting action, meaning it does not pull the material upward or push it downward during cutting.

This neutral cutting characteristic makes the ER66.7B particularly effective for delicate laminated boards, printed foam panels, and display materials, where spiral tooling may cause chipping, lifting, or surface damage.

With a 6 mm cutting diameter and approximately 25.4 mm (1 inch) cutting edge length, the tool is well suited for profiling, slotting, and through-cut routing of foam-core display boards used in sign and graphics production.
