CWT/CWX ER66.8B Compression Router Bit with Stop Ring

The CWT/CWX ER66.8B compression router bit with stop ring is engineered for high-performance CNC routing of laminated panels, composite boards, plastics, and wood substrates commonly used in signage fabrication, display production, cabinetry, and industrial machining. Manufactured from super-grade solid carbide and enhanced with a premium rainbow coating for lubricity and tool life enhancement, this tool provides exceptional wear resistance, reduced cutting friction, and extended tool life in high-speed routing environments.

The compression cutting geometry combines both upcut and downcut flutes, compressing the material toward the center of the cut during machining. This design prevents tear-out on the bottom surface while eliminating chipping on the top surface, allowing the tool to produce clean, chip-free edges on both sides of laminated or finished materials.

With a 6 mm cutting diameter and a 22 mm cutting edge length (CEL), the ER66.8B provides excellent rigidity and cutting stability, making it ideal for profiling, slotting, and through-cut routing of thicker laminated materials and composite panels.

For the compression feature to function properly, a minimum material thickness of 3 mm is required, ensuring both flute directions engage the material simultaneously.

This model also includes a precision stop ring (collar) designed for accurate tool positioning when used with Zünd ARC automated routing systems and the CUTWORX Tool Changer, enabling reliable automated tool changes and consistent cutting performance during production operations.
