The CWT/CWX ER66.9A V-cut router bit is engineered for precision V-grooving and V-fold routing operations used in signage fabrication, architectural panel production, and display manufacturing. Constructed from “Super” carbide with a performance coating, the tool provides excellent durability, reduced friction, and improved wear resistance when machining composite panels, plastics, and other rigid substrates.

The bit features four flutes with 60° cutting angles that create a 120° V-cut profile, making it ideal for producing clean V-grooves used in folding aluminum composite panels (ACM) and other rigid sheet materials. The multi-flute geometry improves cutting stability and surface finish while allowing consistent V-groove formation across production runs.

With a 6 mm cutting diameter and a 1.7 mm cutting edge length (CEL), the ER66.9A is optimized for shallow, controlled V-groove cuts required for panel folding, edge forming, and structural signage fabrication.

This version includes a precision stop ring (collar) designed for accurate tool positioning when used with Zünd ARC automated routing systems and the CUTWORX Tool Changer, ensuring repeatable depth control and reliable automated tool changes in production environments.

Typical production applications include:

  • V-grooving ACM panels for folded sign cabinets

  • Routing fold lines in Dibond®, Alucobond®, and Max Metal® panels

  • Creating precision fold joints for architectural panel systems

  • Producing folded aluminum composite signage structures

  • Machining V-grooves in rigid plastics and composite boards

Note: 6 mm shank router bits are designed for CUTWORX Apex Plus and Apex M Series flatbed cutters equipped with the 1.8 kW liquid cooled router spindle.
