One Machine, Countless Jobs
What Will You Cut This Summer?
One cutting platform. A wide range of production possibilities. The Apex Series gives sign shops, print service providers, packaging producers, fabricators, and specialty manufacturers the ability to process a broad range of rigid, flexible, printed, and unprinted materials on one digital flatbed cutting platform.
Depending on the selected tool, blade, router configuration, material thickness, and Apex Series model, compatible substrates include acrylic, Plexiglas, polycarbonate, aluminum composite material, PVC and Sintra, PET, styrene, MDF, corrugated paperboard, corrugated plastic, honeycomb board, foam board, Gatorfoam, KT board, poster board, paper, cardstock, pressure-sensitive vinyl, reflective vinyl, banner material, felt, leather, upholstery materials, fabrics, and technical textiles. And it's not limited to simple perimeter cutting — available tool configurations support through-cutting, kiss-cutting, oscillating cutting, rotary cutting, routing, creasing, perforating, V-cutting, marking, and selected engraving applications.
Signage & Display Graphics
Contour-cut signs, dimensional letters, display components, floor graphics, decals, banners, exhibition graphics, wall graphics, POP displays, and rigid printed panels — with camera-based registration to compensate for print distortion and align cutting paths with printed graphics.
Packaging & Short-Run Converting
Folding-carton samples, corrugated packaging, protective inserts, custom boxes, prototypes, mockups, and short-run packaging — without waiting for a conventional steel-rule die. Combine creasing, perforating, kiss-cutting, and through-cutting in the same production file.
Aluminum Composite & Rigid-Sheet Fabrication
With the appropriate routing system and tooling, process ACM for signage, architectural graphics, display structures, exhibits, and fabricated panels — plus selected applications in acrylic, polycarbonate, PVC, styrene, and MDF.
Gaskets, Seals & Industrial Components
Prototypes, replacement parts, one-off components, and short gasket runs that don't justify the cost or lead time of a steel-rule die — from gasket sheet, foam, felt, rubber-like media, fiber materials, and other compressible substrates.
Technical Textiles & Protective Materials
Fabrics, upholstery, coated textiles, industrial fabrics, and selected aramid materials such as Kevlar. Mechanical knife and rotary cutting provide a cold-cutting alternative that doesn't introduce laser heat into the cut edge — ideal for protective garments and fire-resistant apparel components.
Acoustic & Architectural Products
Acoustic felt, sound-absorbing panels, office dividers, decorative wall systems, ceiling elements, and privacy screens. Digital production makes geometric patterns, custom dimensions, branded shapes, and project-specific layouts practical without fixed tooling.
Furniture & Upholstery
Repeatable upholstery patterns, fabric panels, leather components, foam elements, furniture templates, and prototype assemblies — with digital nesting to improve material utilization and reduce the inconsistency of manual pattern cutting.
Graphics, Labels & Adhesive Materials
Kiss-cut pressure-sensitive vinyl, decals, labels, reflective films, masking materials, laminates, and printed adhesive products while preserving the release liner — then through-cut finished sheets into installation-ready components on the same platform.
Corrugated, Foam & Display Materials
Corrugated paperboard and plastic, foam board, KT board, honeycomb board, and cardstock — supporting retail displays, trade-show graphics, presentation boards, packaging inserts, standees, and short-run promotional products.
Leather, Fabric & Soft Goods
Leather, felt, fabrics, coated textiles, and upholstery media for bags, soft goods, garment patterns, covers, padding, decorative elements, and custom textile parts.
Prototyping & Product Development
Move directly from digital files to physical prototypes without waiting for fixed tooling — revise dimensions, test alternative materials, and produce multiple design iterations faster across packaging, displays, gaskets, textiles, and custom assemblies.
Short-Run & Custom Manufacturing
Work that's too specialized, too low in volume, or too time-sensitive for conventional tooling: custom fabrication, replacement components, personalized products, limited runs, and niche industrial opportunities.
